After realising that I had read 49 books in 2005 I resolved to read at least 52 in 2006... this is my record of that attempt. I will post the details of each book or paper I read and like minded people can make comments and/or make suggestions. A posting doesn't necessarily mean I recommend it, just that I have read it!

The Moon of Gomrath by Alan Garner

Title: The Moon of Gomrath
Author: Alan Garner
Type: Fiction
ISBN: 0-00-674292-0
Published: 1963
Comments: Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the Weirdstone of Brisingamen, I struggled to make sense of this book, seriously disjointed writing, unexplained terms, continual random introduction of subplots that went nowhere, there seemed to be no real plot... not a great sequel I'm afraid.

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory

Title: The Other Boleyn Girl
Author: Philippa Gregory
Type: Fiction
ISBN:
Published:
Comments: Wasn't sure if I was going to like this as it sounded a bit "girly", however I was pleasantly surprised. Well written and obviously extremely well researched (almost non-fiction), this was a book that I just could put down. Loved it... now what else has Philippa written...?

Title: You've Got Dissent! (Chinese Dissident Use of the Internet and Beijing's Counter-Strategies)
Author: RAND (National Security Reseach Division)
Type: Non-fiction
ISBN: N/A
Published: 2001
Comments: If you do business in China then this might be worth reading, gives you a good background on what Chinese citizens can and can't do, so you don't ask them to do something inappropriate. An interesting read if you're in the computer industry and deal with China.

Cancer Schmancer by Fran Drescher

Title: Cancer Schmancer
Author: Fran Drescher
Type: Non-fiction
ISBN: 1-86325-382-3

Comments: An entertaining and informative book about how "The Nanny" beat cancer. Not everyone's cup of tea, but worth reading if you're female and/or know someone who is going through a similar experience.

Falling Leaves by Adeline Yen Mah
